Michael J. Frederick

Michael, along with his three sisters, was born in Harrisville, Michigan. Raised on the family farm east of Glennie, Michigan, Michael spent his entire youth there until he graduated from high school. He graduated from Alcona High School in 1976 and joined the Air Force immediately afterwards. Following basic training he attended tech school at Lowry AFB outside of Denver, Colorado. In his first four years he was assigned to bases in Michigan, California, Texas, and South Korea. While in South Korea, he met and married his wife, Suk.

Following his initial four years in the service, Michael left the service to finish his degree at Michigan State University. Following graduation in 1983 he rejoined the Air Force, seeing service in South Korea, Japan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, California, Nebraska, and Texas. In 1994 he retired from the Air Force and has since been employed in Florida, Indiana, and Texas. He currently works for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in San Antonio, Texas.

Suk Frederick was born and raised in South Korea. Born in a small town just outside of Pusan, Suk's early life was spent helping her mother and father raise four younger brothers and sisters. In 1979 she met and married Michael Frederick and they moved shortly afterwards to the U.S. While initially spending most of her early marriage raising their only daughter, Suk eventually attended and graduated from cosmetology school and has since been employed as a cosmetologist.

Our only daughter Celia was born in Pusan, South Korea. As with any military brat (a term used to describe children of military personnel) Celia attended various schools throughout her schooling career. After settling in San Antonio, Texas in 1997 Celia eventually finished school there, graduating in 2003. Celia is now married and resides in Oklahoma City with her husband Frank and their son Jaden.

Our second "child" now is our one and only cat, Mixy. Mixy was found abandoned along the freeway in 1997. Not having the heart to leave her there, she was brought home and has made herself quite at home since then.
